Piero Sadun, a talented artist with a lively spirit, was born in Siena in 1919. He showed artistic promise from a young age and immersed himself in Siena's art scene as a teenager. Unfortunately, due to anti-Jewish laws under the Fascist regime, he faced many challenges in his artistic pursuits. He was forced to leave school and faced discrimination from some fellow artists.

Despite these setbacks, Sadun persevered, painting under the pseudonym "T. Duna" and even joining the partisan resistance against Fascism. After the war, he flourished as an artist, exhibiting his works in renowned galleries and winning prestigious awards. He also explored other creative avenues, such as set and costume design for theater and ballet.

Sadun's artistic journey was marked by resilience, versatility, and a passion for creation. He left behind a rich legacy of artwork and made significant contributions to the Italian art world.

Life

Born in Siena in 1919, showed early artistic talent. Faced discrimination and had to leave school due to Fascist racial laws. During the Second World War Years, he painted under the pseudonym "T. Duna" and joined the Italian partisan resistance. After the end of the war, he exhibited his works in Italy and internationally, winning numerous awards for his art. Piero Sadun designed sets and costumes for theater and ballet productions and later became Director of the "Accademia di Belle Arti" in L'Aquila, establishing novel teaching methods, opening to the new forms of art that have developed in the 20th century. He continued painting despite battling cancer and died in Siena in 1974 at the age of 55.
