MTV Roadies: Double Cross is the twentieth season of the Indian reality show MTV Roadies produced by Banijay Asia. Rannvijay Singha returns to host the show after three years and will host the show for the twelfth time. The season premiered on 11 January 2025, on MTV India and digitally stream on JioHotstar. It also marks the return of gang leader Neha Dhupia along with returning gang leaders Prince Narula and Rhea Chakraborty. Elvish Yadav joins the season as a new gang leader.[1][2]
Production

[edit]In September 2024, Rannvijay Singha returned to host a show after three years and for a record twelfth time.[1] In the following month, Prince Narula and Rhea Chakraborty were back as gang leaders while Neha Dhupia also returned as a gang leader after two years.[2] whereas Elvish Yadav joined show as a new gang leader.[3]
Development
[edit]In September 2024, MTV India announced the series with the tagline 'Double Cross'.

Auditions
[edit]MTV Roadies: Double Cross auditions were held at Delhi on 13 October 2024, Chandigarh on 15 October 2024, Hyderabad on 18 October 2024 and Pune on 20 October 2024.[5]

After auditions, each gang will be allocated eight Roadies consisting four boys and four girls.
Bidding Process: Each Gang Leader is provided with a budget of 10,000 Roadiums at the beginning of each venue. Gang Leaders use these Roadiums to bid for the Roadies. The highest bidder secures the Roadie for their respective gang.
Double Cross Rule: If a Gang Leaders successfully executes a double cross (XX) on another Gang Leader, that Gang Leader's bid for the particular Roadie is cancelled. As a result, the next highest bidder acquires the Roadie.
Ranvijay's Vaat Power: 
The Roadie who received Vaat from Ranvijay were guaranteed to join on the journey, And the gang leaders had to reverse bid to not have the contestant in their gang, the gang leader who has bid the highest will choose which gang the contestant goes to.
Ranvijay's Super Power: 
Ranvijay guaranteed this Roadie to join on the journey and the gang was chosen by Ranvijay.

[edit]Similar to previous season, the Gang Leaders had to bid in an auction to buy the contestants for their gangs in the PI Round. But Roadiums were reset to 10,000 Roadiums after every day of Auditions.
