Musasizi Timothy Karubanga is an Ugandan angel investor[2] and entrepreneur.[3] He is the founder and executive director of MK Timothy & Company.[4][5]

Early life and education

Musasizi was born on October 30, 1990 at Mbale in Uganda. He completed his primary and secondary education from Fairway Primary and Our Lady of Africa schools[6] then higher education from Tokyo Institute of Technology.[2]

Career

In 2009, Musasizi Timothy Karubanga founded Timco Supplies, where he served as the Operations Executive Officer. Following this, he co-founded Tim Tech Consults, Uganda,[7] taking on the role of Chief Technology Officer.[8]

In 2014, Karubanga began investing in real estate by purchasing and renovating properties in Kampala and Mbarara, Uganda. He also acquired land in strategic locations for residential and commercial developments.[9] By 2017, his ventures expanded to include a coffee plantation in Masaka, along with investments in the mining sector.[5][10]

Honours and public recognitions

His philanthropic efforts have earned wide recognition, and he was honored among Africa's Top 100 young economic entrepreneurs in 2017[1][2] And Young entrepreneur of the year (Award) from Africa Early Stage Investor Summit 2015.[1]

Public recognitions

Through his initiatives, he has donated over $900,000 to support projects that enhance livelihoods, including the provision of solar lanterns to remote rural areas lacking electricity.[11] His organization also trains local farmers in utilizing these lanterns to increase productivity and income.[10] Karubanga's contributions have established him as a respected figure in Uganda, celebrated for generating employment and fostering economic opportunities.[12][13]
