Joshua Harris (born October 11, 2004) is a Barbadian youth leader, advocate, and parliamentarian. He is known for his active engagement in community leadership and his dedication to sustainable development. As of November 30, 2024, Harris serves as the Acting Leader of the Opposition in the Barbados National Youth Parliament, following the resignation of his predecessor.
Early Life and Education
Joshua Harris was born on October 11, 2004, in Barbados. He attended Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School and later pursued his secondary education at Queen's College.
Harris continued his academic journey at the Barbados Community College (BCC), where he served as Students’ Guild President (2022–2024).

Barbados National Youth Parliament
Joshua Harris has been actively involved in the Barbados National Youth Parliament since 2023. He assumed the role of Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Leader of Opposition Business in January 2024 and, as of November 30, 2024, serves as the Acting Leader of the Opposition.
He was chosen to represent Barbados at the Commonwealth Youth Parliament in Wellington, New Zealand. In addition, he represented Barbados at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, alongside High Commissioner Milton Inniss in September 2024.
Community and Sports Involvement
Harris was a long-time member of the Pickwick Cricket Club and represented Queen's College on the cricket field. His other extracurricular engagements included the Chess and Science Clubs during his secondary school years.
He also contributed to his church community as a Fundraising Committee Member, Parochial Church Councillor and Youth Group President.
Recognition
In 2024, Harris was nominated for the Phoenix/Minister's Award, the highest accolade at the Barbados National Youth Awards, recognizing his exemplary leadership and service.
