Draft:Charles Talbot, 15th Earl of Shrewsbury

Charles Talbot was the 15th Earl of Shrewsbury. On a stormy night in 1841, the arrogant Earl was travelling back to his home in Alton towers when an old woman pulled him aside. She asked him to spare a farthing for an old beggar to which he returned a look of disgust before ordering his driver to go on. The old woman cast a spell over the Earl. For every branch of the old oak that fell, a member of the earl's family would die. It was a cold stormy night and with one bolt of lightning, a branch was struck and fell from the old oak tree. Sure enough, a member of the earl's family suddenly and mysteriously died. The Earl had the tree chained up before posing in front of it with an arrogant look on his face. Maddened by this occurrence, the Earl begun a battle between science and the supernatural to end the spell for good. He then preceded to drag the old oak branch back to his home in Alton towers and locked it in a vault for reasons unbeknownst to anyone. The vault was lost in time however in 2001, an old passage was discovered behind a bookcase in the towers and at the end lay the vault with the branch. There were conveniently benches either side of the branch and when sat upon, the room spins and the branch sparkles. That is the tale of the arrogant 15th Earl of Shrewsbury, Charles Talbot.
