Rashidi Alema Anzor (born 4 April 2001) is a Congolese film and theatre actor and singer.[1][2] He is best known for his appearance as Baby Boy in the film Baby Boy of the house,[3][4] Anzor in Ima[5] and Cloves Thomas in Tozoom.[6][7][8] He has also made a guest appearance in the film Beast[9][10] featuring Idris Elba.[11][12][13]

Early life

Rashidi Alema Anzor was born on April 4, 2001 in Kisangani, Democratic Republic of Congo.[6] The eldest of three younger sisters,[7] he spent part of his childhood in Goma,[3] where his family settled after leaving his hometown[14]. The divorce of his parents, which occurred during his youth, marks this period.[15] Following this separation,[7][16] his mother moved with her three daughters to Lubumbashi,[4] a city where Anzor Alem spent an important part of his adolescence.[15][17]
