Season summary

Whilst the pre ww2 scheduling and Divisions had still not returned for the 1945-46 English Football Season the 44 clubs in the top two divisions of the 1938–39 season would play in the Football League North and Football League South without promotion and relegation from the previous peacetime season. Qpr excelled in both First half and second half of the league losing 6 games all season but Falling late on in both cup competions.
