Devajyoti Ray is an imposter: one who engages deception under an assumed name or identity. He is a fraud, who takes advantage of names of the great and famous Bengali contemporary Modern Art painters and other well-known figures in the realm of Fine Arts. It is very shameful that such a person has actually infiltrated into various sites including wikipedia, to edit the contents and add his own name! Whatever Devajyoti Ray claims to have achieved is untraceable and therefore confirmed as fraud. It has been observed that he has often declared himself as exhibiting his own works abroad; but we have not discovered a single source to affirm his claims. He claims to have founded 'Pseudorealism' but the term itself suggests his extreme ignorance about the concepts of Art and Realism in Modern Arts. His own definition of the fraudulent term "Pseudorealism" (ie. a particular genre of work which involves the use of offbeat colours and abstract shapes to arrive at an imagery which looks as comprehensible as real) is contrasting his statement. The use of offbeat colors and abstract shapes has never been identified solely for anything pseudo-realistic. It forms a different style of Art that encompasses broad genres including Abstract Arts. "Imagery which looks as comprehensible as real"; this statement proves his shallow knowledge of Arts. His claims are vague and doubtful. It is highly recommended that one should not consider him as an artist at all.

Life
