Dave Cornthwaite (born 25 October 1979) is a British adventurer and author. He is best known for self-propelled travelling, often using unusual forms of transport. Cornthwaite was the first man to push a skateboard the length of Britain from Lands End to John O'Groats, taking 34 days and skating a total of 895.9 miles for a journey named BoardFree UK. He followed this up with BoardFree Australia, a Guinness World Record-breaking skate journey from Perth to Brisbane, across Australia. Upon reaching Brisbane on January 22nd 2007, Cornthwaite had skated 3618 miles/5823km, taking 105 days, and breaking American Jack Smith's previous distance world record by 618 miles/ 994km.
