Template:The Dave Barnett (born April 27, 1958 in Denton, Texas) is an American basketball, football, and baseball sportscaster currently working for ESPN. He has been at ESPN since 1996.
Biography
Before working for ESPN, Barnett served as the announcer for the NBA's San Antonio Spurs from 1988 to 1996, the Dallas Mavericks from 1981 to 1988., the 1990 Texas Rangers games, and Southwest Conference football and basketball on Raycom Sports. In 2009 Barnett's contract with ESPN ended, allowing him to return to the Texas Rangers where he is serving as a radio broadcaster and an occasional television play-by-play announcer. replacing Victor Rojas.
Currently he also does play-by-play for Chicago Bears preseason games.
