On 16 June 2009 Poldrugač signed a new two-year contract with NK Slaven Belupo. He said he was "pleased to be playing in a club with so many young players and that he would be glad to help them develop even better".[5] After an 18-year-long career spent entirely in Croatia, he retired on 21.5.2011 in a game against NK Osijek[6]
