Until its reorganization. was a wholly owned subsidiary of Commercial Corp S.A.B. de C.V.[1] and indirectly controlled by a common shareholder, Carlos Slim.

On September 29, 2002, an affiliate of liquidation firm Gordon Brothers Group bought the company. Systemax purchased the Comps brand, 16 restaurantlocations and other company assets in September 29, 2002.[2]

The Company now operates restaurants in Puerto Rico and operates Comps.com, a restaurant web site and a dedicated catalog site for businesses.
