Centerview is a city in Johnson County, Missouri, United States. The population was 249 at the 2000 census.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 249 people, 89 households, and 67 families residing in the city. The population density was 2,148.1 people per square mile (801.2/km²). There were 107 housing units at an average density of 923.1/sq mi (344.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 92.37% White, 3.21% Native American, 0.40% Asian, 0.80% from other races, and 3.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.42% of the population.

There were 89 households out of which 41.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.2% were married couples living together, 24.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% were non-families. 19.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.15.

In the city the population was spread out with 34.5% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 17.3% from 45 to 64, and 8.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 79.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.1 males.
