Carlos Miguel Suarez

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Carlos Miguel Suarez Soto, better known as Carlos Miguel, is a retired Mexican actor. In the 1980s and 1990s, he acted in a number of Televisa telenovelas, such as Dos Mujeres, un Camino[1] and Volver a Empezar, the latter of which perhaps garnered him the most public recognition, for his characterization of "Poncho".[2]

Kidnapping

[edit]

Suarez had a harrowing experience, which helped him decide to quit acting: he was kidnapped in Mexico City and taken to the school where his two daughters studied. They asked his daughters for the time, to show him they had access to them. They had him retained four days, causing him injuries to his mouth and robbing him of some savings.[3]

Ever since, Suarez has become a taco salesman at a small corner stand in Mexico City, preferring to handle small amounts of money at a setting where he is barely recognized.
