Kariaí (Cariyai) is an extinct, poorly attested, and unclassified Arawakan language. Kaufman (1994)[full citation needed] placed it in his Manao (Middle Rio Negro) branch, but this is not followed in Aikhenvald (1999).[full citation needed]
