Because of this, there has been an increased crime rate, suspensions, detentions, expulsions, as well as an over-all decrease of productivity. Where Caucasian students are open to this increase in Hispanic students, the Hispanic students are not accepting of Caucasian students. In academics, and sports other than soccer, Caucasian students are much more superior.

Canby High School is a public high school located in Canby, Oregon.

As of 2009, Canby High School's hispanic community has grown to 66% of the school's population. Because of this, there has been an increased crime rate, suspensions, detentions, expulsions, as well as an over-all decrease of productivity. Where Caucasian students are open to this increase in Hispanic students, the Hispanic students are not accepting of Caucasian students. In academics, and sports other than soccer, Caucasian students are much more superior.

Academics

In 2008, 86% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 395 students, 338 graduated, 37 dropped out, 1 received a modified diploma, and 19 are still in high school.[2][3]

Homebuilding program

Canby is one of three Portland-area high schools (as well as Forest Grove High School and Benson Polytechnic High School) that builds a single-family home in the community. The school takes two years to build a home, selling it when it is completed.[4]
