Cambodian Muslim Youth Alliance Football Club or CMYA FC is a Cambodian amateur football club who plays in the Heng Samrin Cup. The team is owned by the Cambodian Muslim Youth Alliance, a Muslim youth organization in Cambodia.

History

[edit]

The team was originally formed in 2016 to support Cambodian Muslims in the football field. Most of the players are Muslim youth, almost half of whom are youth from the Cambodian Muslim Youth Alliance. It is under the management of Hun Many, the players are mostly from Kampong Cham, Kampot, and Kampong Chhnang.[1]

In 2017, the team competed in the Heng Samrin Cup, where they finished runners-up at the Olympic Stadium. With a 2–1 defeat to Anachek Baitong meant they had to settle for that position.[2] After the closing of the competition, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, Osman Hassan, said that this Cambodian Muslim community team will at least become a professional football team in Cambodia in the future.[1]
