Brier Hill-style pizza is a distinctive yet simple pizza from the Brier Hill neighborhood of Youngstown made with Romano cheese.

History

Developed by the mothers of the immigrant families of steel laborers in the Mahoning Valley. Originally baked at communal brick ovens.

Where to Find

Brier Hill pizza is loved throughout the Manhoning Valley. Notably it is sold every Friday at St. Anthony of Padua as a church fundraiser. Also found daily at Avalon Downtown, Wedgewood Pizza, MVR and Brier Hill Pizza and Wings.
