The Best of Windows Entertainment Pack (BOWEP) was a collection of thirteen 16-bit simple games sold separately from Windows. It was published in the Microsoft Home series of software. They were selected as the best games from the previously released Microsoft Entertainment Pack series. The games were:

Game Boy Color Version

A multicart containing seven games was released for the Game Boy Color as simply Microsoft Entertainment Pack. Four of the games on the multi-cart were ported from Best of Microsoft Entertainment Pack, while the remaining three were ported from other Microsoft Entertainment Pack compilations. Beta screenshots, as well as a beta ROM which recently leaked, confirms that the GBC edition of BOWEP originally contained an additional five games, including Taipei, Tetris, Pipe Dream, JezzBall and a technologically-crude version of Chip's Challenge. This Beta version would have made a near-complete Gameboy Color port of Windows' Best of Windows Entertainment Pack. When the Gameboy Color port of Windows' Best of Windows Entertainment Pack was scheduled to be released, half the games were removed and reserved for a second Gameboy Color editon of BOWEP, however, this never came to fruition due to Nintendo's focus on the then-upcoming Gameboy Advance.[1]
