Ben Adams (born Benjamin Anthony Edward Stevens Adams, 22 November 1981, in Middlesex, UK) is a British pop singer and songwriter, and was a member of the British boyband, A1. He was raised single-handedly by his mum, Anita.[1]

He attended Bedales School which he left after his GCSEs at 16 to join Charterhouse School before which Westminster Under School, where he was head chorister of the school choir and of St. Margaret's Choir of Westminster Abbey, after winning a scholarship. He has a scar above his right eyebrow, from when he hit his head on a coffee table when he was younger [2]. He is influenced by Michael Jackson and Tracy Chapman.[1]

After winning a BRIT Award and having two Number one singles, A1 began to decline from the public eye, and came to a natural end.[1]

After a couple of years writing, Adams made a comeback with a new solo recording contract. He is currently working on an album. His first solo single, "Sorry", reached #18 on the UK Singles Chart in June 2005.

As well as writing for himself, Ben as turned his attention to writing and producing for other artists, some already established and a handful of up and coming acts both here and in the US. He co-wrote the Lisa Scott-Lee single "Electric". He has also co-wrote a song called "Get Off My Girl" with Har Mar Superstar.

He has his own recording studio situated in Battersea Park called Parkbench Studios.[3] He is currently the creative director behind a new band, project name Girl Band 2007 which has recently been confirmed and launched as a four piece girl band called Kissing Freddie[4]

He also dated former S Club 7 lead singer, Jo O'Meara[5]

He also dated Carolynne Good from the series fame academy 2002.
