In 1985, following the end of LOVE HOUSE, guitar player Tetsu and drummer Yuji started BELLZLLEB in Chiba. They recruited Rick, the loudest, wildest bass player in Chiba and Koizumi singing Ozzy and Black Sabbath covers in a local band. Their first Mini Flexi sheet, "Satanic Metal" was released in 1986 with limited press of 1000 copies that contained live recordings at Kazurazaka Explosion. This increased their fan base leading to another recording for "Heavy Metal Force Ⅳ", another V/A live recording in 1987 by Explosion Records in Tokyo. When Koizumi left for musical differences in 1987, Ex-Hardwave singer Rei was recruited to increase their frequency and coverage of gigs across Japan. As Yuji left in 1988 their first album scheduled for release later in the year was delayed. Fumi was recruited to record their first self titled album, "BELLZLLEB" in 1989 from Nude Records. Rick left in 1989 due to musical differences and was replaced by Mataro to record the following full album, "SectionII/ある愚者の生涯" from Captain Records in 1990. Following this recording members Mataro and Fumi left and an acoustic recording between Tetsu and Rei, "Inori/祈り" was released. In 1991, Ex-Rosenfeld bass player Takami and drummer Kimura were recruited to record their final album in 1992, Mr.REE~傀儡とSAD~, before the disbanding of BELLZLLEB. |

BELLZLLEB is the pioneer band of Japanese Satanic Metal started by ex-school mates Tetsu and Yuji in 1985. Its sound mixes elements from Heavy Metal, Black Metal and Hardcore with influences from Aleister Crowley, the occult, horror, satanism and the dark, heavy sound of Black Sabbath. Band history
