Battle Hymns is the 1982 debut album from the heavy metal band Manowar.

All tracks written by Friedman/DeMaio except "Metal Daze" written by DeMaio, and "William's Tale" written by Rossini/DeMaio.

Orson Welles narrated pieces for Dark Avenger (on Battle Hymns, 1982) and Defender (on Fighting The World, 1987). Fighting the World was released two years after Welles' death.

Thrash metal band Overkill covered the song "Death Tone" on their 1999 album Coverkill.

Traditional/power metal band Seven Witches covered the song "Metal Daze" on their 1999 album Second War In Heaven.
