Baba (In Hindi language with Devnagari Script:बाबा) is a Indian honorific for Spiritually advanced person (men). Usage

In Indian Subcontinent, the word Baba was used for paternal grand father. This word is now less commonly used in this meaning. Now it is mostly used as a word of respect for spiritually advanced person.

In Common Use Guru Nanak Dev Ji(Founder of Sikh Religion) is also called Baba Nanak.
