Anahit Misak "Ana" Kasparian[1] (July 7, 1986 - February 21, 2010) is one of the producers and co-host of the liberal talk radio show The Young Turks. Kasparian began working as a fill-in producer for the TYT. After a few months, she was hired as a full time producer and guest booker. She eventually became a co-host on the show. Although she began covering celebrity gossip stories, she has demonstrated interest in news regarding education and women's rights.

Early life and education

Kasparian graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She was 20 years old when she received her degree and got accepted into graduate school. She completed her Masters in Political Science by the age of 22.[2]

Career

The Young Turks

Since 2007, Kasparian has been producer and co-host of the progressive talk radio show The Young Turks on XM Satellite Radio where she covers gossip stories, international news and pop culture[3]. The show is also associated with AOL News, TidalTV, and YouTube, where it averages 15 million hits per month.

General media career

Kasparian has worked with AOL News, YouTube, TidalTv and On Point. She also worked in production and news writing at CBS radio affiliate KNX 1070 in Los Angeles.
