Thomas Gogois (born 24 June 2000) is a French triple jumper. He won the bronze medal at the 2024 European Championships in Rome.[1]
Career
[edit]He has been trained by Alain Doré since he was 15 years old, apart from one season spent at the National Institute of Sport and Performance (INSEP) in Paris.[2]
He was a bronze medalist at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships in Tallinn.[3][4]
He won silver at the 2022 French Indoor Athletics Championships in Miramas in February 2022. He went into the event with a personal best of 16.57 metres, but increased it to 16.63 metres on the day.[5][6]
He jumped a personal best of 16.87m in Forbach in May 2024.[7]
He was a bronze medalist at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome with a personal best jump of 17.38m.[8][9] He competed in the triple jump at the 2024 Paris Olympics.[10]
