Ammonium dicyanoaurate is a chemical compound with the chemical formula C2H4AuN3.[2][3] This is a complex salt of ammonium, gold, and prussic acid.
Synthesis
[edit]Ammonium dicyanoaurate can be synthesised by dissolution of gold(I) cyanide in ammonium cyanide solution:
- AuCN + NH4CN → NH4[Au(CN)2]
Physical properties
[edit]The compound forms colorless crystals which are soluble in water and ethanol.
