The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) is an academic society founded in late 1908 by John J. Abel of Johns Hopkins University, who also founded ASBMB, in order to promote the growth of pharmacological research.[1][2] ASPETs headquarters is in Bethesda, Maryland on the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology campus. The ASPET society is composed of scientists involved in the efforts to help develop new medicines and therapeutic agents to fight existing and emerging diseases.
