The history of bilateral relations between Albania and Austria dates back to 1912, when Albania declared its independence on 28 November 1912. Albania has an embassy in Vienna. Austria has an embassy in Tirana.[1] As a European Union (EU) member, Austria supports Albania in its euro-integration path.[2] Both countries are members of the Council of Europe and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
