Akhilesh Pradhan
The Name- Akhilesh The name Akhilesh originates from the name of the Hindu God,Lord Vishnu. Akhilesh is one of Vishnu's 1001 names chanted in the vishnu saharstanam(the full name said in the chanting is "akhilesh bramanda adhinayak").Some Shivites may say that the name Akhilesh is short for Akhileshwara name of Lord Shiva. The meaning of Akhilesh is "ruler of all the good things in the world".Some modern meanings may suggest that Akhil-esh means the owner of all luxuries, but the two meaning are pretty similar.
The Surname- Pradhan
The surname Pradhan comes from the Indian state/province of Maharastra (the state houses places like Mumbai, Thane and Pune), although it is also found in faraway states such as Orissa. The name itself means chief or commander and therefore the name is from the Kshatriya[1] caste who are brave and fearless people well known for fighting under the great Shivaji maharaj who overthrew the Mogul rule of India and even today you can see a great statue of Shivaji in Shivaji Park,Dadar. The name Akhilesh Pradhan would originally be present in the CKP[3] societies, CKPs are the upper class Kshatriya warriors who are now found in the area of Maharastra,Punjab and Rajastan. There are also many famous CKP figures in India such as MNS[4] (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena)leader Raj Thackeray[5] and the famous Akhilesh Pradhan.
