The 2013–14 San Jose Sharks season was the club's 23rd season in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Sharks qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the tenth consecutive season,[1] but lost in the first round to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings in seven games after being up 3–0 in the series.

Playoffs

The Sharks entered the playoffs as the Pacific Division's second seed. They faced the Los Angeles Kings in the first round. With a 5–1 Game 7 loss, the Sharks became the fourth team in NHL history to lose a series when initially holding a 3–0 series lead.[2]
