On March 13, 1993, 2 UH-1 Helicopters collided into each other above Camp Ripley.[1][2][3]

Incident

On March 13, 1993, 2 UH-1 Helicopters crashed into one another in a mid-air collision. The serial numbers of the helicopter were 66-16543 and 69-15875. At least five deaths were reported and two injuries were also reported.

Court of Honor

Camp Ripley dedicated Air Traffic Control Tower 5 Oct. 7, 2012, to Chief Warrant Officer 4 James Nichols, Chief Warrant Officer's 2 Mark Nelson and Dale Schmidt, and Staff Sgts. Larry Roalstad and James Teel.
