Did you read Simonm223's post of 01:42, 26 August at the AN/I thread, where Simon wondered if you would be "willing to accept mentorship from someone with experience editing LGBTQ articles"? What we need is for you to figure out what you want and stick with it. (I'm not promising you'd get what you want, but at least you'd be fair to the rest of us that way.) You're going back and forth between insisting that you cannot edit Wikipedia without causing yourself trauma and... editing it; between maybe willing to work with a mentor and rejecting the idea. You can't just say "I'd consider it" and expect people to leap forward out of the woodwork asking to do it. It would be a serious commitment of time and energy, and at the very least you'd need to demonstrate some commitment to it yourself... which is the opposite of what you've been doing here. -Jason A. I hear you. You sound frustrated, I hope you are caring for yourself on this beautiful holiday weekend. I don't know how I was unclear earlier, but it's obvious you feel confused by the "back and forth." I have self esteem, and therefore do not indefinitely wait for people to meet my expectations, which is why I know longer have interest in receiving mentorship. You no longer want help because no one stepped up? You did not ask for help, you said you "would consider" it, which made it seem like you were unsure. If that was a simple misunderstanding, fine, but Mathglot made clear that the offer is still on the table and that they're merely waiting for you to ask. Now you're just being difficult. Look, if you're willing to be calm, civil and collegial, we can start over and you can ask Mathglot for the assistance he's offering. I was under the impression that your attitude before was the result of the stress you were under, which I can sympathize with, but please try to start assuming good faith and communicating in a calm and civil way.
