A principal use of coroplast is in the small portable sign industry. Coroplast is ideal for lawn signs such as For Sale, For Rent, or political signs. It is lightweight, rain resistant, and can be printed in bright, fade-resistant colors. The signs are highly portable because in addition to their light weight, they are also easily assembled and disassembled, consisting of a coroplast sheet mounted on a strong wire stand. The signs are put together by threading wire prongs at one end of the stand into the corrugations of the coroplast sheet. Wire prongs at the other end of the stand are then stuck into the ground. These signs are much less expensive than the earlier generation of all-metal lawn signs, but they do not last as long.

Coroplast is a brand name of corrugated plastic and a registered trademark of Coroplast, Inc., a member of the Jim Pattison Group of companies. Because of the success of this brand, it has become a genericized trademark and many people in North America today refer to corrugated plastic as "coroplast". A similar product is marketed in Australia under the brand name Corflute.

Coroplast operates plants in Dallas, Texas, Vanceburg, Kentucky, and Granby, Quebec.

Uses

Coroplast has a large number of uses. Below are some of the major ones.

Lawn signs

Coroplast post sign is another good advertising option! Usage of a post sign is different from a lawn sign usage because these signs are placed in different spots. Lawn signs are usually placed on the ground and post signs are on traffic poles, posts, fences, walls etc. But the result is the same – successful!!! You target local clients in a specific area and interested people call you the same minute you put on a sign. If you want to order 100 coroplast signs or more, the most economical option is screen printing. [1] Full color digital print is more expensive but looks much better. [2] If you want to order one or few signs only, full colour digital print is the most economical option.

Crafts

Coroplast is beloved of crafters since it is light, easy to cut and shape, and strong. People making miniature aircraft such as gliders use it as their principle structural material.

Pet cages

The guinea pig keeping community has adopted coroplast as the the material of choice for the base of the favored type of cage for their animals. Coroplast is formed into an enclosed base for the cage (a bottom surface plus low sides projecting upward from the bottom). Grid panels (sold for small cube-shelf units) are then securely connected together around the base as the cage sides.

This new cage design is called a C&C cage for "cubes and coroplast". C&C cages are far superior to the standard small pet cages sold in pet stores. They are constructed to give the animals much more room, since the standard size cages do not provide the minimum space needed even for a single guinea pig, which is recognized to be 7.5 square feet.[3]. Using cubes and coroplast as cage building materials allows people to create small pet cages in custom sizes and shapes. C&C cages also provide for excellent sanitation because of the coroplast. Coroplast does not absorb moisture and can be easily wiped clean. It is also easily replaced when worn out.
