A New Yorker is a resident of New York City. This would be a great place to list famous New Yorkers and to give information on what sort of people New Yorkers are.
The New Yorker is the title of the long running and widely respected magazine most well known for its past success at popularizing the short story as a literary form in English in the mid-20th century.
